Overview: On 15 December 2021, the Banta Rays completed the Freedom Swim, in association with the Flying Mullets. The Freedom Swim is from Robben Island to Big Bay in Blouberg, Cape Town. The swim is a challenging 7.5km in icy waters which range from 14-19 degrees. The Banta Rays completed the swim in 1h57m and raised over R47,000 for Hospice Wits.
